Some quick and probably not sensible YFC thoughts from the show tonight..

I met up with [livejournal.com profile] lefcadio and [livejournal.com profile] anei_no_tsuki before the show. I bought a fan (which are pretty good actually, very sturdy and the print is on both sides) and I caved and bought the gloves.

They're a really soft and comfortable leather. As you can see from the photo they're a little big on me but I do have really small hands. The YFC logo is made up of little sparkly bits. They're really well made and very comfortable.

As we were waiting for the doors to open it starting raining. And then, it started to thunder. We all stayed under cover until it was our time to be called but so many brave souls stayed out in the rain.

The three of us all had different ticket numbers and mine was #618 - there's only room for 1200 standing so in theory, that should have put me at the halfway mark right?

Er, wrong!

The doors that lead into the hall itself are on the left wall (YOU's side) and are halfway. When I walked in, this part was full but I managed to slip through to the right hand side and walked towards the stage... and found myself FIFTH ROW right in front of Chacha's microphone.

When Zan started, due to the crowd crush and movement, I ended up directly in front of GACKT but in the seventh or eighth row. I couldn't see anything there at all and it was really rough so I made my back to the side and managed to get back in front of Chacha but in the third row. I moved slightly as the show progressed but that was pretty much my base for the whole show.

GACKT sounded amazing. I know he was complaining that his voice hadn't returned after Europe but it was there in full force. He looked a lot stronger too - he wavered a little and gave himself a little pep talk at the end of FLOWER so that he could stand but out of the four gigs I've seen, this was his strongest. He was very lively throughout the show too although the routine didn't differ that much from the previous Japanese shows and the European ones (Justified sounded a little different though - more guitars).

I managed to catch both GACKT's and Chacha's eyes several times. Chacha was pretty easy for me as not only was I directly in front of him, but everyone stood in front of me was at least 2-3 inches shorter and couldn't jump anywhere near as high as me. Chacha kinda had no choice but to smile at me at times! I caught GACKT's eye right before he started stripping his tie off, haha! And he does stare *at* you too. You can tell that sometimes he's just looking in a certain direction without really seeing anything but other times, yeah, that glare is fully on you. I can out glare him any day - at least my cold blue stare is genuine XD

The Kagero smoke machines were on full force to the point that they actually choked out most of the first few rows. Everyone around me was coughing and breathing through their YFC towels. They need to turn that down I think!

I'm really ashamed to admit this, but FLOWER nearly made me cry. I love that song anyway and when GACKT got to the "you're the irreplaceable flower" line and Chacha stared right at me and smiled... I nearly lost it. Those lyrics after the last couple of weeks... Ahhhh.

By the end of the show I was a real sweaty mess. I looked around at all the Japanese people surrounding me and they literally had sweat running down their faces and arms. I wasn't quite that bad, but the top that fitted me quite nicely before I went in, now didn't and kept falling down and exposing my bra :-( Screw the bikini diet, I'm just gonna keep sweating my ass off at lives.

We came out of the arena and [livejournal.com profile] lefcadio and I were pounced on by a member of GACKT's staff, one of those big, black American dudes he has working for him. He had a camera. He asked us if he could interview us. He asked some very interesting questions...

How many lives have you been to?
What do you think is the main difference between the YFC shows and the RRII shows?
What was your favourite song performed tonight?
What is your favourite GACKT song overall?

I was really intrigued by that second question and probably completely embarrassed myself by going on a HUGE rant about how YFC was more raw and live and showed how good the band and GACKT are as they have no dance routines or tricks to hide behind. Poor Jessica, I think I spoke over her several times *embarrassed*

We'll be doing it all again tomorrow. I have a better number so we'll see where that takes me!
