Dreams...

pyroyale: (Gackt - eyes)
It's becoming increasingly rare for me to remember my dreams. I think it's because I'm getting less and less sleep lately so when I am asleep, I'm very deeply asleep. The last few days have been holidays though so I've had lazier mornings and the opportunity to just stay in bed and doze so I've been remembering them. I try not to trust dreams I have when dozing too much though, as sometimes I can control and direct them and they're actually lucid dreams.

Or maybe, that makes them more interesting?

Anyway, the one I had this morning had GACKT in it. That's actually really rare, for me. He doesn't show up that often.

We were sat in that basement lobby of his with the comfy sofas and huge television screen. We were sat on one of those sofas, side by side but not touching in anyway, and were watching the latest two Doctor Who episodes.

I asked him if he could understand what was happening as they were very complicated, let's set up the rest of the season and use lots of sci-fi techno babble kind of episodes and he answered that he didn't understand any of it.

I said to him that we should stop watching and instead watch something that both of us could understand and enjoy.

He replied that he didn't want it switched off and was enjoying it.

I was confused by this and asked him why he was enjoying it if he couldn't understand it.

His answer? "I'm enjoying spending time with you."

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

The dream me melted into a pool of goo, and then the real me woke up. Dammit!

I think that's the result of reading sweet GACKTIONARY entries and spending far too many hours over the last few days reading speculation and theories about the new Doctor Who series (WHAT. THE. HELL. IS. GOING. ON???)

The sweetness of it makes me smile even now. If any real man actually did say that to me, I'd do whatever he asked of me XD

I had another dream a couple of days ago about my mother. I can't even remember what happened, I just know that we were doing regular mother/daughter type things. It was nice.

I wrote an entry last week about how the second year students in one of my high schools (Katsuyama) wanted to talk about GACKT in their English lessons with me

I joked that I was going to base the English syllabus around GACKT.

I was at a different high school today, Ochiai, and it was my second lesson with the first years and also my second batch of lessons with my new Japanese colleague, Matsumura (please call me Masa) sensei.

The first lesson last week was my self introduction. GACKT got a whole slide to himself.

This week, Matsumura-sensei Masa, decided he wanted to teach the students the sentence patterns:
I feel happy when I ____________________
She feels sad when she ______________________
I felt happy when I _________________

Because he's very hands on and remarkably well organised (why can't all teachers be like him? He plans activities TO THE SECOND and makes sure that they work like that) he prepared the worksheet for the class.

He wrote some examples:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

(And I haven't, it was just an example he wrote)

I've only worked with Matsumura-sensei Masa for a week and he knows me so well already. He was telling me, on the way to class, that he used to listen to MALICE MIZER when he was in Junior High School. There's a surprising number of men in their late 20s who used to listen to MALICE MIZER, I've discovered.

That means that now, after two weeks of being back at school, GACKT has been mentioned in every single lesson I've taught. And, as next week will be just more self introductions and this lesson again, he's going to make it to every single lesson in three weeks

I feel like I'm being stalked.

[As an aside, letting the students know that I fangirl for GACKT is actually a good tactic. They all have their own little thing that they love, be it a band, manga or character, and it puts me on their level and makes them more open to me. It's strange, but it works and it works well.]

I have to work tomorrow :-( I don't actually have anything to do, but I have to go anyway. Sucks.

[Half naked, sweaty GACKT walking down a corridor is not a spoiler, it's expected]

I had a couple of requests for these yesterday, so I thought I'd oblige.

Under the cut are some of my favourite screencaps and also a download link for a total of 975 caps.

Of course, there are spoilers here so don't click or download unless you want to be spoiled! I won't say too much about the DVD though, as I hope everyone can watch it and form their own opinions.

These caps are from the DEARS version. I have the regular version but haven't watched it yet so I don't know how it differs. IIRC, it's just the live footage has different angles.

Note - I'm not going to upload the DVD so please don't ask. If you want to see it, buy it. I won't scan the DEARS only cards either.

Photo heavy! )
Enjoy and BUY

I haven't watched it all, because I think I should eat and do other things first, but I have watched some of it.

IT HAS ENGLISH SUBTITLES.

IT HAS GACKT'S AMAZING PRE-LIVE PEP TALKS

Edit - it's probably a mistranslation. The word translated as "cock" can also just refer to how hot it is so it's probably the case that the translator picked the wrong meaning.

(For those it concerns, DEARS DVDs are here. Will be shipped over the next couple of days)

I just made that gif and then spent fifteen minutes just... watching... it.

I think I need to go take a shower or something...

...oh wait. That sounds wrong.

I meant as a distraction so that I don't stare at it for another 15 minutes.

Gotta love a man who can spread his legs like that AND moisturises them

Edit - it's an extra scene in this TSUTAYA CM (the one with the cats and the maids)

Edit 2 - the Twitter CAPSLOCK spam this has inspired is pretty epic. I love this fandom so hard.

[Error: unknown template qotd]

I'm not sure on the numbers, but I'm pretty sure it involved Final Fantasy VII.

That game ate my LIFE for several months.

I have it on my PSP but I'm scared to pick it up again because it's been so long since I played it, that I know it'll just hook me back in and take over again.

Oh, and there was, of course, the night of the earthquake when I spent 9 hours standing in the street for a taxi simply listening to nothing but GACKT. That probably breaks some sort of personal record (for standing in the street waiting for a taxi - not necessarily for listening to GACKT, haha)

Going to bed now. Have to be up early in the morning to introduce myself to some new first year students. It should be fun though, the teacher in the class with me is the wonderful Nakashima-sensei (the teacher who went to RRII and named her phone email address after Belle) and I have a little bit of my self introduction dedicated purely to GACKT. She doesn't know this. I want to hear how loud she screams when he shows up in the powerpoint presentation XD
pyroyale: (Gackt - Dance!)
I had no lessons today (again... grrr) but one of the teachers I work with asked my second year classes what they want to talk about in their lessons with me this year. I taught them last year so they know me pretty well by now.

Their answer?

They want to talk about GACKT.

ME TOO KIDS.

Let's just plan the entire English syllabus this year about GACKT. We can learn all sorts of new vocabulary (tits, sweetie, guaranty, (ir)replaceable, batshit crazy), sing lots of English songs (feel the fiyaaah) and watch movies ("it's a fucking famous ninja's name in Japan!")

I could do a whole lesson on teaching the names of different body parts, complete with lots of photos as reference material...

THEY'D BE THE MOST AWESOME ENGLISH LESSONS EVER, BRO.

(Heh, I have these kids well trained, don't I??)

XDDDDDDDDD

No more ranting from me today because I have some cute to share.

[livejournal.com profile] shinimegami and her wonderful Zero, Gakupo and Grell dolls pointed me in the direction of this website, ran by some amazing talented people who make things for people. Their UFO catchers (plush dolls) are stunning and they have a huge range of Jrock dolls.

I ordered a Nemuri Kyoshiro as a Christmas present for myself with some of the monies I'd been sent as presents by people back home.

He finally arrived today (and got me out of bed >_<)

ISN'T HE GORGEOUS???

He's perfect.

His hair is perfect, his obi sparkles just as it should, he has the little Nemuri logos on his kimono and he's commando under there

Ahhh.

I should probably be too old for this, but I don't care *cuddles Kyoshiro*

Quick note to anyone who can watch it - there will be some support messages broadcast on Music Station tonight.

Appears GACKT may be one of them

Show starts at 20:00 - 35 minutes from me posting this.

In further evidence that everything in the South of Japan is running so smoothly that it's as if the earthquake/tsunami/nuclear problems have never happened, I had a delivery of GACKT goodies today (the notice on the G&D site of delays to deliveries that I hadn't even noticed obviously doesn't apply down here)

SO MUCH PRETTY.

None of it is mine other than one postcard set :-(

So, apart from one little Camui G order, the YFC Europe DVDs and any DARTS orders (they work in their own little world) everything that has been ordered has been received. Some of it has already shipped and the rest will be shipped over the next few days.

It's going to take more than an afternoon to work through that lot :-/

*stares at the pretty some more*
pyroyale: (Lisa - fangirling)
I might do a proper earthquake post later as I have a couple of photos of things that will show how it was in Tokyo, but I thought I'd do a nice, light hearted post first.

Yesterday, I went to the Square Enix store in Shinjuku (ish)

TIME TO FANGIRL.

(Click all photos for full size)

There's something under here for GACKT fans too ^_^ )

If anyone is around, bored, has a Twitter and is in anyway traumatised about the loss of GACKT's beautiful long hair, then feel free to join the support circle - #RIPGACKTsHair

It's just a bit of fun XD

I think I'm packed.

Before heading to bed, I decided to chill and watch a little of the YFC DVD again. If you keep your eyes open during 小悪魔ヘヴン you can see me and [livejournal.com profile] shinimegami21 in one of the crowd shots, grinning at the water filled condoms (must have been before one of them BURST IN MY EYE. Thanks, Junji)

You can also see yellow

Jeez... he must have been pulling that down with his shorts to have not flashed it to the crowd during the show.

I wanna pinch his hips and grab at that padding

Oh, GACKT. You and your multicoloured thong collection, manwhoring ways and lulzy DVD announcements can always make me smile.

Thank you.

As I said in my entry yesterday, I wanted to get these posted yesterday but my internet connection has been going backwards the last two days so I couldn't get them uploaded. Now, I see that [livejournal.com profile] groovy_walls has beaten me to posting Version B.

Ahhh, never mind!

Click the cut for the scans.

I really fancy some chicken now )

If my net connection doesn't speed up soon, then I think I'm going to be yelling at Yahoo Japan shortly. They have an English helpline right? Good.

Sushi and karaoke later XD

In moments of boredom I've been randomly making gifs from the Nemuri DVD so I thought I'd share. This is Part I - I have to separate them as it'd probably kill my computer to post too many! Obviously, there are spoilers within for the DVD but nothing major.

They're only gifs so use however you wish, just don't say that you made them and if asked, link people back.

It looks very lulzy when it's in gif form...

GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN NINJAS~!

+9 under the cut )

And no... I won't share the DVD XD

Today saw the release of the Nemuri Kyoshiro Limited Photo Box and I received mine a couple of hours ago.

Click the cut for photos of what is inside (FYI - you may need tissues to stem the nosebleeds. Anyone on my Twitter list knows what I'm talking about!)

Obviously, spoilers abound for the photo albums!

Why so freaking gorgeous? )

This is such a stunning set of photos. I hope someone is able to scan it but whoever attempts it will have to be insane. It's far too beautiful for me to even consider putting it near a scanner!

I was able to see the last performance of Nemuri Kyoshiro in Hiroshima on Saturday evening. It was my second time as I also saw it in Osaka in October.

I’ve split this report into two – the first is the play synopsis which will be a straight forward description of the plot, and the second is the more personal perspective with the little nuances I picked up on, the fun parts and the things that went wrong XD

Spoilers abound in the synopsis but I’ll try to keep them out of the fun part as much as possible!

The Story )

The fun stuff! )

This has to be filmed for a DVD at some point. Whether it’s kept in tact as a stage play, or filmed on location, I think it deserves to recorded and seen by a wider audience. GACKT is perfectly believable as the cold and slightly detached Kyoshiro and although being serene, silent and strong isn’t really stretching his acting abilities too much, that can be forgiven due to how epic the fight scenes are.

Now, I want to go to Tokyo… I won’t though. Nope.

(And congrats to anyone who made it through all of that without falling asleep! I have a tl;dr tag for a reason!)

Been digging around that houseparty.jp thing since I got back from Hiroshima (expect a squee post later from Nemuri!) and found a few things...

If you go to http://homes-party.jp/play/, there is an interactive 3D video of the House Party. You can move around the house and red things appear that you can click on. You either get guests speaking to you about the host (he has a Lambourghini, by the way... yeah... pretty obvious) or pick up items (a key, map etc).

After going through this video and clicking on things, you get the entry form...

https://homes-party.jp/entry/

Ta-da!

BRB, entering... Well, when I can answer the second question I will

*watches video again*

Edit - they're watching Gundam, lol (the video isn't pixellated from the balcony).

Ah, the grandfather clock makes the video and entire site go backwards?! There's a map of the apartment hidden in the skull on the balcony (most of the dancers are out there, alongside GACKT's bodyguard), there's fitness equipment, samurai armour in the wardrobe (you need the key for that)... This is getting pretty obvious I think!

Some of the videos take away your time so be careful!

Ah, you can talk to Chacha and YOU! YOU looks so gorgeous...

(Chacha and YOU are right towards the end... just let it run and click on Chacha)

The answer to the second question on the entry form, how much the apartment costs, is in the videos. You just have to find it ^_^
pyroyale: (Gackt - stealing my monies)
I've been talking about this to a couple of people recently, and seeing as though I took the time to get my camera out when I was in England, I guess I should share.

This is The GACKT Collection (aka OMG how much money have I spent on his ass)

(Consider this a sequel to the Iron Maiden Vinyl Collection entry)

If only GACKT had a points card for loyal customers )

And I wonder why I'm poor.

Heeeeeeeeeeee, Nemuri tomorrow. I have resolved to not spend crazy amounts of money on goods again but unfortunately so many of the Nemuri goods are actually practical so it's hard to talk myself out of it. You can never have too many bento boxes, chopsticks or mugs!

Yeah... let's see how much damage I can do to the bank balance shall we?
pyroyale: (Scar - meh)
I had a proper entry, full of hopefully entertaining stories and anecdotes about the last couple of days but meh, I'm not in the mood for a serious entry so instead, here's a photo from Van Ness's blog on 2010.12.26 that seems to have been overlooked.

I bet his teeth glow in the dark

Source

Although, looking at his pretty photo of the lit up trees in Omotesando Hills makes me think I should do a pretty lights post. The Christmas lights at the Tokyo Dome were BEAUTIFUL, just like the ones in Harajuku.
