There’s a bootleg audio recording of Gackt’s shows at Makuhari Messe floating around.

I have a copy of it mainly because I have this weird little obsession with bootlegs. I literally have BOXES of them, mainly Iron Maiden related, and although I don’t trade and collect as much as I did a couple of years ago I still pick them up whenever I can find them.

I’m trying really hard not to listen to it though.

It’s one thing to read reviews, to see photos and wobbly snatches of film footage but I really don’t want to spoil the arena tour by listening to it.

It’s only one week until I’ll be at the Saitama shows　avoiding the cameras and falling over my feet to 小悪魔ヘヴン and I’ve successfully avoided any heavy duty spoilers so far but I can feel my fingers twitching to press PLAY and listen.

My flight is on Tuesday. I can resist until then, surely…?

Agh.

You're not allowed cameras unfortunately BUT the second show is being filmed so I'll make do with professional footage and hundreds of photos outside XD

If he ever makes it over here and decides to grace Birmingham with his presence it'll be me and you - front row centre screaming until our voices go. They don't scream much in Japan so I'll store it all up. Just in case!

DAMN RIGHT! \m/ The controlling myself thing failed... Heh! But we shall so go and squee and scream our faces off should that ever happen. If he came to ENGLAND, let alone Birmingham I'd be there! He'd be totally worth traveling for :D

It sucks that they don't scream so much in Japan... I'd be tempted to scream my face off, anyways. You never know, you might start a trend :D

We're staying in Ueno - not too far away from the park. We're planning on seeing the sights of Ueno as there's a shrine there that I want to go to, a zoo and lots of other things.

Obviously Tokyo central is on the cards as we're hoping to get into Shibuya and Shinjuku and possibly Akihabara as it's supposedly manga/anime central and has cosplay cafes XD Basically we have a list of things and we'll see how much we can fit in around two Gackt shows.

I loved watching Gackt on vs. Arashi. Only Gackt would think that dressing like a rock star in tight jeans and boots would be suitable clothes for a show like that and not fall on his ass. I love watching his TV appearances as he always makes them entertaining!

Sounds so good what you planned. And the zoo in Ueno, I love zoos so that would be on my list too. Think you will enjoy everything there ^^
Yep, Akihabara should be the place to go for Anime fans. Do you plan on going to such a cosplay cafe? Should be fun.

Seeing Gackt in his outfit on vs Arashi was fantastic. And he pulled it off so easily, especially the first game. Sad that they lost at the end.
Now I'm waiting for someone to sub this ^^ I bet his remarks are hilarious - the little parts I understood were alreadey great.

I think if we do go to Akihabara then yes, I'd love to go to a cosplay cafe. Preferably a Butler cafe but I don't mind a Maid cafe or anything else!

We're going for a week. I'd love to stay for longer but Japan is too expensive and the exchange rate is terrible right now. If there's a next time, hopefully that will be longer!

Gackt had that air of not caring at the start but he got very serious very quickly! He can't stand losing, especially not on TV. His best TV appearances are always ones involving games and he is really quick with his comments. I'm sure it will be subbed soon as it's Arashi. The JE subbers are pretty quick.

A butler cafe should be great XD But even a maid cafe sounds fun. Just to see it "live" is something I soo want to do ^^ Hope you make a fine experience there.
And one week is already a lot! Sure, not enough to see all, but it's enough to say I definitely have to come back ^.~
When did you start to plan for this trip btw? I heard it takes quite some time.

The episode has been subbed. Quality is not the best, I think there'll be probably a different version soon. But if you'd like to see it subbed: here (http://arashitengoku.livejournal.com/1272.html). It's somewhere in the middle.

Yes, it'll be a taste of Japan and no doubt I'll be saving for a longer trip as soon as I get back!

We planned for the trip in a really crazy way. My friends are in Gackt's fan club and applied for the tickets via Dears back in March - they got one set straight away but the second set didn't get confirmed until May. We didn't book a hotel until May and the flights were booked last month, haha! Luckily no visas or anything are needed for a short stay so it didn't take too much planning - it was just a case of knowing which websites to look for.

I love the subbed version! The end made me laugh. "I'll come back for revenge with Daisuke but if we lose again I'm never going to speak to him!" Bless. Arashi were really adorable all of the way through too. I don't think they wanted to beat him!
